Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Lead the development and delivery of engaging EHS training programs for employees and contractors, promoting awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams to integrate EHS considerations throughout all stages of planning, execution, and operation.
- Monitor environmental impact assessments and oversee the implementation of effective mitigation measures.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes in EHS management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certification like CSP, CIH, CMIOSH is a plus).
- Proven experience of 7-15 years in EHS management within the real estate or construction industry, with a strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence, motivate, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
