Manager - Direct Tax - BFS

- Completion of TDS tax assessment with tax authorities ensuring additions only on industry wide issues and get all tax reliefs sought by the company

- Dealing with Tax Authorities on an ongoing basis and explaining them through technical submissions the position of the company

- Preparing technically sound submission sustainable before courts with correct facts captured in the submissions.

- Working with Cross functional team for understanding the business and generation of documents/data

- Evaluating opportunities for tax optimization

- Work with business and cross functional teams to identify opportunity to maximize the tax benefits.

- Identifying risk associated with the planning and mitigate the same by effective execution.

- Handling of litigation

- Building arguments and recent judgment which can be taken to strength the case.

- Ensuring that all the facts captured in the submissions are correct and the counsel is fully on top of the same through regular briefing

- Handling of notices issued under different sections seeking information from company and demands raised on due to return filing issues

- Setting up robust processes and documentation to ensure that no demands are raised due to incorrect filing of returns.

- Responding to tax authorities towards different notices issued seeking information.

- MIS updation, Caro updation and dealing with auditors for quarterly closure.

- Has to prepare MIS on regular basis for updating the management on periodic basis.

- Closing of outstanding issues with Auditors on Caro.

- Research and updatation

- Regular research will be required to be carried out to update the team about new developments and explore opportunities.
