Manager - Digital Transformation - Salesforce & Channel Function/Digital Sales & Marketing - Agri/Fertilizer Industry (5-10 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Set the vision and mission for Technology/Digital path for Salesforce & Channel function
- Continuously assess current maturity of digital capabilities related to Salesforce & Channel compared to best in class
- Design and define digital strategies and specific initiatives including digital tools to help the Sales function move up the maturity curve
- Monitor latest trends, competitors - activities and identify potential areas in which to invest to enhance the digital maturity of the Sales function
- Conduct primary research by engaging with external experts, consultants, vendors and customers for deeper grasp of competition and market trends
Operational
- Provide overall technical and managerial oversight and leadership for the design and adaptation of a digital tools/systems for Sales & Channel function
- Drive execution of digital initiatives from planning to closure/handover to BAU teams by leveraging internal resources and/or external teams.
Sample initiatives include:
- Develop one-stop digital solution for salesforce effectiveness
- Develop channel partner management app
- Develop salesforce review platform for all levels of sales team
- Serve as the principal liaison with digital design vendors to ensure development of tools
- Employ Human-Centered Design approach in development of digital solutions through coordination with field teams
- Liaise with the field team for deployment of the digital tools and ensure adoptions across all levels
- Define and oversee the day to day governance of digital initiatives including measurement and reporting of clear progress metrics against targets defined
2. Profile Requirements
Educational Qualification - MS in IT, Information Systems, Telecommunication from top tier engineering school (AND)
- Graduate in Engineering/Science from a top university
Experience - Essential
- 5-6 years of professional experience
- At least 3-4 years of experience in development and management of large-scale digital information solutions
Preferable:
- Previous sales & channel management, digital sales/marketing experience
- Prior project/work experience in Agri related industries and Fertilizers business
Skills
- Knowledge of digital languages, development processes (app design, development, etc.) and tools
- Project management skills
- Analytical and Problem solving skills in ambiguous and unstructured environment
- Strong business intuition with basic knowledge and understanding of the agricultural market in India and globally
