Manager - Derivatives Reconciliation - Change Management Program - PMP - Investment Bank (5-7 yrs)

The role involves performing & supervising the duties of a team of reconciliation analysts as part of a critical change management program for a large investment bank. The bank is migrating its trades and risk positions to a unified system

- Involved in the set up and scale up of various control reports aiding reconciliation between legacy systems and target strategic system

- To perform day to day reconciliation and analyze breaks from reconciliation reports to ensure proper controls are in place to reduce the risk.

- Document reconciliation procedures

- Constantly review & ensure reconciliation tools run properly with expected and reliable results.

- Provide initiatives and requirements for improving the reconciliations efficiency and reliability.

- Help in process automation & optimizations

- Communicate with clients on daily basis, keep them abreast of status of the project and take appropriate actions based on their inputs

- Respond to ad-hoc inquiries in a timely manner

- Provide metrics and root cause analysis to understand where and why reconciliation exceptions are created

- Master's degree in Banking & Finance with exposure to Finance.

- Good communication and presentation skills as it requires exposure to a client facing environment

- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards.

- Knowledge of derivatives products and markets.

- Flexible and able to adapt to changing business and departmental priorities

- Familiarity with Investment Banking products and Banking Regulations, Front and Middle Office trade operations, end-to-end trade lifecycle.

- Understanding of Trade Management systems, and Risk Management systems will be good to have.

- Knowledge of programming skills like / Python/ SQL will be an added advantage.

- Demonstrate willingness to improve the status quo.

- Good team working & management skills
