- Understanding the forecasting process, models and their application
- Generation, maintenance & development of statistical month cycle and demand sensing forecasts
- Continuous analyses and review of forecasting parameters and modelling changes
- Develop business perspectives for validation and improvement of the forecast
- Review and analyses of causal variables participating in forecasting process
- Collaboration with divisional planners, Sales & Marketing teams for identification of new demand drivers to help improve statistical accuracy
- Data modelling capability on several technological platforms
- Collaboration with New product team to understand, build and improve forecast models for new products
- Collaboration with vendors and IT teams for advanced analytical initiatives In demand planning & forecasting
- Lead a team of data/demand analysts & help build in-house analytics capabilities
- Lead & provide a concrete vision & direction for the forecasting function for the short & medium term
- Key involvement in Annual Planning and Long-Term planning
- Develop and maintain intelligent dashboards & reports to help stake holders unearth actionable insights
- Initiate / Support different analytics initiatives in forecasting, Logistics & beyond
