Manager - Costing/Material - Footwear Manufacturing Firm (5-10 yrs)
Costing /Material Manager
Industry: Footwear and Components manufacturing or Procurement
Primary role & responsibilities:
- Review of Cost Breakdown Received from the supplier
- Validate the Product Specification and Cost Break Down
- Finalize the Raw Material Price from vendors.
- Calculate the material consumption based on the scientific method.
- Finalize the labor cost based on the work content, wage and Overhead structure.
- Negotiate and finalize with vendor
- Market, Product & Cost analytics
- Margin improvement & analytics
- Cost Saving initiatives and cross functional co-ordination
- Co-ordinate with sourcing factories, sourcing team, collection team and Merchandising team
- Managing the overall margin and achieve of MRP, Standard cost and Margin of Sourcing.
- Review the existing costing time to time based on the market price trend and demand.
- Industry visits and market understanding, best practices from the industry
- Work on the special projects as per the requirement
- Learn and maintain the company policy, SOP, COA and statutory compliance
