Manager - Corporate Communications - Manufacturing/Automobile (12-16 yrs)

Purpose of the role :

- The primary purpose of this role is to lead all communications across different stakeholder groups. This role will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders including investors, industry forums and media, to deliver communications on a broad spectrum of organization's priorities.

- The role is hands-on and will also include working with regional communicators in the India and Southeast Asia (ISEA) Region to manage proactive and reactive communications, from strategy to messaging to execution.

- This includes aligning messaging with company objectives, understanding stakeholder information needs, gathering, and writing communications to address those needs. Based in Bangalore, the candidate will be responsible for media relations, reputation management, investor relations, and leadership communications among others.


Media and external communications (50%):

- Build a positive brand reputation by developing action plans and managing PR initiatives for the corporate brand and all Business Units.

- Ensuring effective implementation and outcome of the media plan, including setting the KPIs for PR agency and measuring and reporting on PR deliverables on a quarterly basis.

- Leverage media relations in mainline, online, trade, electronic channels, including communicating campaigns, and managing crisis management, thought leadership and leadership profiling.

- Liaising with PR Agency, seeking appropriate placements in print, broadcast and online media and responding to enquiries from media.

- Plan, edit and write variety of content including Q&As, press releases, bylined articles and thought leadership pieces.

- Work with all cross-functional teams to develop communication strategies that support business objectives and drive growth, including:

- Working with marketing team and business teams to leverage marketing initiatives such as product launches and trade show participation across media platforms.

- Collaborating with HR and CSR teams for ensuring communication of key programs and initiatives.

- Liaising with internal communication and social media team around employer branding to build positive employee value proposition.

- Establish a presence through speaker opportunities and participate in industry events and seminar.

- Responsible for the coordination of all media-related factory tours, logistics pre/post and during events, partnering with external vendors and internal workplace and admin departments, as necessary.

- Country Communication Plan Development and Implementation (15%)

- Support and liaise with communication resource in the India and Southeast Asia (ISEA) Region to develop a country communication action plan with a vision to increase organization's brand visibility.

- Collaborate with regional team to align messaging, manage PR launches, implement media engagement strategies and further the brand.

Investor relations (15%):

- Facilitate Investor/analyst meetings, earnings conference calls, which may include creating and reviewing the agenda, and list of participants, setting the format and dates of the meetings and coordinating with all internal stakeholders.

- Create presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts and investors.

- Facilitate the company's annual general meeting, which may include creating and reviewing the agenda, coordinating the meeting, and other related tasks.

- Produce annual shareholder report and manages the investor relations section of the company website.

- Serve as the key point of contact for the investment community.

Branding communication (20%):

- Create and maintain communication aids, tools templates for brand materials used for external and internal use such as presentation slides, business cards, letterhead etc. as per the brand guidelines.

- Create briefs, provide guidance and complete execution of all branding requirements with agency.

- Work closely with internal team and outside vendors (designers, videographers, etc.) to meet agreed-upon project timelines regarding design and production of branding content.

What We Look For?

- A proven record of PR and media relations in high-growth organizations.

- Excellent writing, editing, & storytelling skills, with an ability to create strategic messages as per needs (showcasing perfect grammar and command of the English language).

- Excel at identifying and evaluating business and other company-wide initiatives and translating them into compelling media stories.

- Meticulous attention to detail and understanding of brand guidelines and SKF's communication policies.

- Ability to communicate clearly and partner with people across all teams and levels to foster a cohesive and creative work environment.

- Open to receiving constructive feedback and implementing them in the day-to-day work.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, be flexible and prioritize to complete projects in tight timelines without compromising on the quality.

- 12-15 years of experience in Communications with a PR Agency and then working with the corporate communication (in-house role) will be an added advantage.
