Manager - Corporate Communications (5-7 yrs)
Responsible for driving the brand and corporate reputation in the public domain - social media, online and offline media, and establishing and running an effective internal communications practice.
Individual contribution
- Develop and execute a PR strategy that enhances the brand, encourages trust, and is in alignment with business goals and the brand communication mandate
- Build and execute an annual calendar with goals, budgets, and a structured process for story and message development
- Create a framework for online and offline media vehicles and messaging strategy appropriate to different business segments and needs.
- Ideate and create compelling PR content that conveys the brand story convincingly and in an inspiring manner
- Work with the PR agency to execute the strategy and achieve the deliverables agreed upon
- Formulate measurement criteria for the PR efforts, both for the organisation, as well as the agency
- Prepare a crisis communication strategy
- Create and execute a process for online reputation management using the company account as well as spokespersons- profiles on social media platforms - creating and publishing content, engaging with media and non-media influencers
- Project Management
- Work with the PR agency to plan and manage press meets, media conferences and other outreach programmes
- Plan and ensure availability of content for media releases, interviews, internal events and other key events identified by internal teams
- Program Management
- Work with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop and implement messaging for the PR programs
- Collaborate with management and HR teams to build and execute an internal communications program
- Build and develop relationships with key media personnel and trade bodies
- Position and promote company spokespersons across multiple domains
The ideal candidate will have
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in a corp com role, PR agency or as a journalist
- Advanced experience in story and message development
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extrovert and engaging personality
- Ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Structured and organised in work processes, with the ability to multitask
Academic qualifications
- Graduate/ postgraduate
- Fields of study: Mass Communication, Journalism, English Literature
