Manager - Controllership - US GAAP & Accounting Policy - CA/CPA (10-15 yrs)

The Role : Controllership Manager - US GAAP & Accounting Policy
Key Responsibilities :
- Participate in developing global policies and identifying related impacts on financial statements, systems and processes
- Manage the process for updates to Company's global finance policies
- Liaison with Treasury on embedded derivative issues and quarterly hedge effectiveness testing
- Monitor, understand and identify impact of FASB standards on Company's financial statements, systems, and processes
- Work with SAP process leads, CIO, and other groups affected by the impacts of FASB standards
- Monitor FASB/IASB's activity and summarize any issues relevant for management as needed
- Assist with miscellaneous projects such as compiling key footnotes or acquisition accounting
- Assist with monitoring and responding to inquiries for the GAAP Policy and Transaction Support team

Skills Required :
- 6+ years in public accounting and/or technical accounting experience with multinational company
Professional Skill Requirements :
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex work efforts
- Demonstrated ability to escalate important issues for resolution
- Demonstrated ability to be relevant and insightful during meetings with Senior Management and Other Senior Executives
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
Financial Skills and Competencies :
- Previous financial accounting experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of business, finance, and accounting fundamentals
- Strong understanding of US GAAP

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
