Manager - Contracts - Real Estate (8-10 yrs)

Contract Administration and Management which includes the following key aspects:

- Contractor database management (identification, shortlisting, evaluation, etc.)

- Ability to draft/ review/ modify contractual documents in line with project needs and specifications

- Accurate interpretation of contractual terms

- Contract closure/ modifications

- Contractor Compliance

1. Drafting, Evaluation, Negotiation, and Execution: Non-Disclosure Agreements, Sales / Purchasing Agreements, Sub-contracts, Consulting Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Master Agreements, review of customer proposed terms and conditions

2. Serve as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters, negotiations

3. Ensures timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations. Initiates and/or conducts meetings with contractors concerning contractual problems as requested by Construction Project Manager

4. Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.)

5. Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal

6. Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained

7. - Develop/ Implement standards for contracts, including presentation of the budget, payment terms, general language, and provisions.

- Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects

8. - Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.

- Interface with insurance companies regarding adequacy of coverage and purchasing needs

9. Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards, and cost targets

10. Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues

11. Review contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal

12. Analyse potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization

13. Handle Contractor termination judiciously and understand impact of change on the timelines and cost of the project

14. Interprets contract provisions to help resolve claims and questions submitted by contractors.

- Monitors compliance to contract requirements ensuring all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice

15. Conduct contractor evaluation at periodic intervals and use the data to review and maintain contractor database for future projects
