Job Title: Contract Management

Location: Bengaluru

Qualification: Bachelors Degree - Required Graduate Degree Legal (LLB/LLM) or MBA (optional)

Job Description: The Contract Manager works directly with strategic sourcing teams under the direct control, supervision and monitoring of GBS - PVM (Global Business Services-Procurement and Vendor Management) to support multiple business categories (IT, Supply Chain, Corporate Services, Marketing and Real Estate).

The primary responsibility for this position is to provide functional and administrative support for drafting and negotiating contract terms and conditions (consistent with Best Buy policies and practices) with the objective of finalizing contracts with suppliers. This position shall perform the following functions:

- Provide contract negotiation support and/or lead contract negotiations (depending on the scope of the contract)

- Serve as a subject matter expert in contracting with suppliers.

- Responsible for obtaining contract approvals and storing contracts consistent with department processes.

- Work with the legal department, to obtain contract approval and/or escalate matters as needed.

- Ensure adherence with company policies as contracts are negotiated and finalized.

- Responsible for ongoing contract management responsibilities such as facilitating contract updates (amendments, addendums, etc- ), issuing termination notices, conducting renewals and other like contracts.

- Required Experience: - 6-8 years Legal and/ or contracting experience.

Prefer a broad range of contract knowledge across various business needs (example: products, consulting services, outsourcing, software licensing, etc- )

- Experience managing and leading projects. Strong communication, negotiation and persuasion skills.

- Experience with contract management life cycle management and/or contract management tools a strong plus.

- Good leadership and people management skills, in terms of building and leading a high performing organisation through attracting, retaining.
