Manager - Consumer Insights


We have an urgent opening with a leading Furniture & Home Decor company

Role will include :

- Help create an end-to-end understanding of the furniture and decor consumers' brand and browsing preferences and consumption patterns - through weekly trackers, periodic deep dives and ad hoc research projects

- Partner with brand and content marketing team to develop marketing plans through concept positioning, content positioning and trailer development.

- Own execution and continuously improve the on-going trackers to ensure business has a clear and real time pulse of consumer sentiment on brand. This includes brand awareness tracking and consumer perception of the competition.

- Execute Ad Hoc qual and quant research projects to support the Brand and Strategy team, to help shape short/medium term business objectives - translate business questions into high quality research designs and translating output into actionable insights.

- Evaluate market potential for launch of new product lines.

- Anchor market intelligence on both consumer and competition/industry fronts for business teams to drive sales on ground.

- Provide clear recommendation to Marketing team, Category team and sales team (where to defend, where to attack, with which products and which price point etc.)

Desired Skills and Functional Experience :

- 4-5 years of hands-on experience in consumer insights sources (especially digital), qualitative as well and quantitative analysis

- Previous experience with external market data tools such as GfK, Counterpoint, Nielsen or comparable is desirable.

- At least 5 years at a managerial level, leading projects independently.

- A track record of execution excellence and the ability to work Hands-on, and partner closely with agencies to lead research projects.

- Ability to work Independently and take end to end ownership of projects; and also, collaboratively with stakeholders across brand, content, growth and strategy teams.

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, self-start, contribute and work in an entrepreneurial environment

- Independent thinker, strong aptitude in analytical thinking, rational, and prompt; strong with data analysis, MS Excel & MS Power Point.
