Manager - Compensation & Benefits (leadership Role)


COMPENSATION PROGRAM MANAGER

Location: Pune

This is a global position on a compensation team that is primarily based in the US. In this role, you will have visibility across all aspects of compensation and ownership of compensation program implementation.

Responsibilities : 

- Project leader for the implementation of global compensation programs such as annual Focal cycles (salary, bonus and equity). Responsible for all aspects of program management including deliverable timeframes, HRIS interface, resource management, communications and post program activities.

- Project lead for annual global market pay ranges including gathering and interpreting market data, designing a workbook for the compensation team's creation of market based pay ranges and setting pay ranges for various global countries.

- Conducts data analysis and modeling in Excel (company-wide and departmental); summarizes data for compensation team, HR and Business Leaders.

- Owns the ad hoc bonus program and company bonus calculations and payments.

- Responsible for all HRIS configuration and reporting for compensation.

- Owner for compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position and conduct survey submissions.

- Responsible for interpreting data anomalies and providing recommendations in non-routine situations.

- Assess compensation job structure elements to determine inaccuracies and present solutions.

- Provide compensation consultation on complex projects involving major changes to compensation structure, leveling, market alignment.

- Provide heavy compensation analysis for the compensation team on business related projects including recommendations for action.

- Partners and assists compensation team with implementing new programs, ad hoc projects and specialty areas (i.e. job structures, sales, bonus, long term incentives, executive compensation).

- Proactively identifies process improvements and efficiencies.

Requirements : 

- Experience leading global, company-wide compensation programs is required.

- Strong ability to work independently on given projects taking it from initial steps to providing highly thought out compensation recommendations minimal direction.

- Team player who will roll up their sleeves to assist the team or other departments.

- Great attention to detail and ability to thrive in a shifting priority environment.

- Strong desire to take on new projects, challenges and learn from others.

- Expert developed compensation Excel skillset. Ability to influence, educate and train others with the use of data analysis and Excel.

- Understanding of global compensation practice areas and ability to apply knowledge to business specific situations.

- Strong project management skills and experience working with HRIS to develop system configurations.

- Understanding of pay practices in US and other key countries outside of India required.

- Experience using and interpreting market data, outside India, to benchmark jobs and create pay ranges.

- Proactively consults with country experts or legal on compensation issues.

- Experience providing Excel summaries and data for review with business leaders and other HR employees

- Comfortable with completing presentations for executive summaries and training sessions and writing program communications to employees and managers.

- Strong verbal communication skills and coaching experience to HR Business Partners and Business Managers.
