R2T provides funding and its team of leading primary educators work with local NGO partners and the State to develop and deliver high-quality rural education programmes. They believe that rather than trying to replace existing structures and programmes, they can support them from within, implementing sustainable programmes and strengthening local capacity.  Reason for the hire:  Reach to Teach is expanding its footprint and profile in India and seeks to hire an experienced Communications Manager to ensure that the communications support the strategic ambitions and maximize the profile of the organization and support its impact. S/He will advise the CEO of Reach to Teach, who is based in the UK, as well as other members of the Senior Management Team on communications strategy and content.  Roles and Responsibilities:  Policy Design  - Responsible for developing and articulating the Reach to Teach Communications strategy and processes, including brand guidelines, approvals, and channels.  - Advising and working with the CEO, CD and other SMT members on the planning of key communications and marketing materials, channels and messages.  - Clearly identifying target audiences, and responding to stakeholder priorities, and expanding the profile and impact of the organization's communications.  - Creating and regularly reviewing the Communications Blueprint, and developing the policy and processes to supporting adherence.  - Seeking feedback on communications (internal and external) to continuously improve the Reach to Teach communications strategy and content.  Communications Content Development and Management  - Responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality communications content that is fit for specific purposes, tailored to different audiences and aligned with our strategic plan.  - Advising on and developing content for internal communications - emails, newsletters, setting up and organizing sharing sessions etc  - Developing consistent house style guidance that delivers high standards of written English and Gujarati  - Responding to media/ government inquiries in a timely manner, with appropriate content, and following relevant approvals  - Manage Reach to Teach's online presence (website, LinkedIn etc), to ensure responsiveness and consistency while retaining the organization's rigorous voice and brand  - Collecting and presenting Reach to Teach case studies in written/ video format  - Capturing/ writing articles on Reach to Teach achievements, events, and activities for internal and external circulation  - Ensuring any communications on Reach to Teach funded programmes by our partners is in line with our guidelines and quality expectations  - Tracking and documenting media coverage of Reach to Teach and its programmes  Managing agencies/ printers   - Responsible for coordinating all development and delivery of materials through external agencies (website developers, printers etc.)  - Proof reading a wide range of marketing materials/ presentations/ press releases/ newsletters.  - Ensuring spends on communications are tracked, approved and in line with budget.  Working with Others  - Working collaboratively with all stakeholders within and outside Reach to Teach to understand key messages, impact and build collateral  - Support an environment of openness, collaboration, and transparency  - Ensure behavior with internal and external stakeholders is consistent with REACH values  Must Haves:  - A postgraduate of an MBA in Public Relations or Mass Media Communication Studies with minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in managing communications, preferably for a non-profit and/or in the field of development.   - Proven ability to keep an organization's communications responsive and on message  - Proven experience in independently leading key work streams in communications including design, planning, implementation and review  - High-level Word and PowerPoint skills  - Knowledge of print production, audiovisual production, online and offline platforms.  - Fluency in English and Hindi with excellent written skills.   Salary offered : 8-10LPA
