Manager - Commercial - FMCG - CA (7-8 yrs)
Responsibilities:
Stockist & Claim Management:
- Monitoring & review of claims documentation, supporting and calculation are as per the monthly scheme / Offers and approvals
- Monitoring secondary & replacement claims of stockist
- Ensure timely claim settlement posting of distributors
- Ensure Quarterly reconciliation & Obtain NOCs from DB.
- Distributor management
- Market Visit (for DB audit) and interaction to improve commercial hygiene in Trade.
- Oversee Closure of distributor F&F and appointment of new distributor as per the infrastructure plan for the region
- Ensure appropriate completeness & accuracy of discount provisioning for month end closing
- Monthly review of Region commercial activity & reporting
- Ensure timely preparation of all revenue, discount & selling expenses related reporting for closing and ad hoc requests.
AR Management
- Monitoring Account Receivables and review of DSO
- Follow up of pending collections with Channel Heads
- Initiating appropriate control action in case of delayed collections such as credit block etc
- Analysis and monitor Overdue and taking necessary measure to avoid the bad debts.
- Managing reporting requirements of AR, Overdue, Provision for Doubtful debts
- Review & anslysis of channel wise DSO and AR
Compliances:
- GST compliances, monthly payment, filing, returns, coordination of assessments etc
- Completion of ongoing VAT asssessment
CFA Management
- Managing CFA's Operations and commercial feasibility
- Monitoring CFA Payments, Freight Payments, Employee Travel Expense Payments
- Ensure all CFA Contracts are in place and are up-to-date
- Ensure appropriate completeness & accuracy of expense provisioning for month end closing
Selling Expense management
- Ensure appropriate accuracy and completeness of expense provisioning for month end closing
- Controlling & Tracking monthly sales spend.
- Monthly review for commercial with respective RSM.
Channel Profitability management
- Preparation and review of monthly channel P&L and analysis thereof
- Highlighting areas of concern to Channel Heads & Finance Director
- Driving Commercial efficiency project in commercial process to support the business.
Controls
- Incident Management and Defining escalation, response, resolution time for reported problems on the basis of criticality
- Risk assessment and adherence of Risk Control Matrix on entire master data
- Reviewing and developing operational process flows
- To ensure proper monthly closing, claim visibility / Credit Review. Following regional commercial MIS for visibility on claims, debtors, pending claims, pending F&F etc.
Pricing
- Prepare pricing of new products, new channels or new deals as required
- Coordinate with factory and procurement for relevant inputs for pricing
Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant (should have passed in not more than 2 attempts)
- 7-8 years of commercial experience, with 2 years in managerial position
- In depth understanding of FMCG industry
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of accounting
- Knowledge of ERP software packages with respect to commercial accounting
- Knowledge of indirect tax rules in India
- Experience of tracking costs vs. budget
Must Know
- Knowledge of SAP
- GST knowledge
- Strong Excel & powerpoint skills
