MANAGER COMMERCIAL FINANCE

WHAT YOULL DO

Commercial Finance Manager is part of the Finance team in India and responsible for all finance commercial support to the Commercial Finance Director and Partners.

This position provides key leverage to the business in implementing pricing and commercial initiatives to effectively meet business objectives, including managing the economics of the projects, mentoring the commercial finance team and providing direction to the Finance staff.

Commercial Finance Manager will act as a business partner in the area of finance commercial support.

This includes proposal support, pricing and investments, drafting and review of contracts in accordance with guidelines and managing the client case economics once the work is sold. Close collaboration with the local and regional leadership is required to ensure business risks are mitigated and there is alignment with global policies. 

Commercial Finance Manager is an active member of the India finance team. The position is built around teamwork and meeting business needs.

Commercial Finance Manager partners with the case teams, commercial finance director, India head of finance, the other BST functions in India and the Regional- and Global Finance community. 

The work is fast paced, intellectually intense and very visible. For success in this role, the individual must be business savvy, service-oriented, hands-on with the systems and policies, a strong team player and capable of working flexibly and across all levels of staff in a complex matrixed organization

YOURE GOOD AT

- Pricing, Commercials and contracting

- Embedding risk management across the commercial side of the Finance function, ensuring adequate systems of internal control and compliance with policies and local tax, legal, and other regulatory requirements

- Implementing best practices in client contracting, billings, and collections process in order to decrease DSO, maximize cash balances and improve price realization including working with clients for contract closures.

- Ensure best practices related to DSO reduction are implemented.

- Partnering with Consulting staff and case teams on various matters related to commercials and tracking costs versus budgets at a granular level

- Liaising with the Regional and Global Finance function to address questions and provide additional information as appropriate Client Service support

- Provide commercial support to give leverage to the commercial director, ensuring early detection of issues

- Supporting the Partners in preparing pricing and budgets for Client cases, ensuring that the standard norms are complied with and where required, appropriate approvals for

- Assisting in contracting (including RFP processes) directly or through teaming with appropriate experts and legal team, ensuring enforcement of world-wide contracting and pricing policies

- Ensuring that final contracts for all cases are duly executed and uploaded on the online Client Contract Management tool (Client View)

- Support the Commercial finance director in client portfolio committee (CPC) related discussions

- Working closely with the Staffing function to ensure alignment of resource deployment with contractual commitments and managing deviations and required CPC approvals

- Perform Client Case financial control and analysis, including evaluation of case economics, development/tracking of budgets in close cooperation with the Project Partner and suggesting corrective measures where appropriate

- Supervising accounts receivable, collections, absorptions and provisions to ensure timely and accurate processing and revenue recognition

- Coordinating the annual revenue credit process with the Partner Group

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Leading, coaching and developing the Finance Commercial team, ensuring proper back-up and succession plans are in place

- Supporting internal and external audits as required

-o Participating in relevant local, regional and/or global projects and initiatives from time to time

YOU BRING - EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA or Chartered Accountant or equivalent

- 10+ years experience, preference for 5+ years in corporate pricing, commercials role (compulsory) Professional Services firm background

- Experience in commercial support, financial systems implementation, financial reporting, budgeting, pricing.

- Hands-on experience with financial systems

- Fluency in written and spoken English

- Individual must demonstrate leadership qualities and be willing to take a hands on approach and also be able to excel in a large international company culture

- Excellent people skill, able to motivate and develop the local teams

- Advanced technical skills with proficiency in desktop applications, financial systems and general ledger

- Extensive use of Windows and the following software applications:

- PowerPoint, Excel, Oracle or other large financial systems environment

- Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate

- Strong communication skills both written and oral

- Solid business partner with the ability to dialogue, communicate at all levels

- Trustworthy, able to be deal with confidential information
