Cloud Operations - Manager : JD :

Senior-level System Engineering with experience in the Cloud and Virtual environments with strengths in : VMware, Citrix and MS hypervisor, Linux, end user communication and documentation, project leadership and hands on abilities. This person must show innovation, think conceptually and act tactically to build consensus and meet deadlines.

Act as technical expert in the Cloud with Operations team, responsible for maintaining and supporting the Virtual environment including performing upgrades, configuring systems, monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing proactive solutions to problems.

- Must be able to work on a variety of systems covering a complex assortment of software and hardware configurations.

- Evaluate systems components, systems software, networking infrastructure and hardware peripherals for reliability, performance, scalability and security.

- Analyze and tune systems for performance, throughput, resource utilization, high availability, and scalability.

- May be involved with database management and administration using Oracle and MS SQL.

- Document and publish installation, configuration, operational and troubleshooting procedures for use by support personnel.

- Assist in departmental planning by making innovative recommendations for improvement in the areas of performance, resource utilization, high availability, scalability, systems management and operations.

- Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent complex problems from occurring across teams/applications.

- Participate, propose, and lead complex customer and internal projects, including transformation, across technology/customers and/or internal businesses/end user's areas. Provide review/advice to projects inside/outside responsibility areas.

- Work with other departments within the organization to meet company wide goals.
