Manager - Canary Tax - BFS

We are recruiting for KPMG Global Services & they are looking for a Manager Canary Tax. It is a strategic global delivery organization, which works with more than 50 KPMG member firms to provide a progressive, scalable and customized approach to business requirements.

Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

- As a Manager, you will draw on experience in accounting and taxation to provide tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients.

- Work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to resolve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone and use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.

- Able to identify key tax technical issues and raise appropriate questions before the work is sent for review to the senior manager or partner and manage multiple work assignments and deadlines.

- Review of Regulated Investment Company (RIC) fiscal and excise tax provision workpapers, review financial statement disclosures, review of monthly or quarterly capital and income estimates, review quarterly and annual IRC asset compliance and gross income testing.

- Review workpapers to support shareholder reporting.

- Review of various Mutual Funds book to tax adjustments/reclasses like Wash sales, PFIC, Straddle, Sec 1256/988, REITs/Non-REITs, Dividend (QDI, DRD) etc.

- Review of 1120-RIC tax returns and their supporting workpapers and associated schedules.

- Participate in technical and other trainings to develop skills to enhance the employee and client experience as well as conduct technical trainings on various tax technical topics relevant to the Mutual Fund Tax space.
