Manager - Business Development - Payment Industry (5-10 yrs)
Business Development Manager
- The role is office based and will include regular travel.
- Responsible for client acquisition for cross border payments (Pan India).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs;
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media;
- Develop, maintain, and adapt the vertical sales strategy;
- Maintain the CRM system with all relevant sales pipeline information;
- Regularly benchmark competition and identify business development opportunities;
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services;
- Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data;
- Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products;
- Collect and analyse information and prepare data and sales reports;
- Meet with potential clients to determine their needs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in similar roles, with proven success levels;
- Strong sales skills with adaptive behaviours to influence outcomes;
- Experienced at self-generating opportunities and closing them;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- A natural relationship builder;
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills;
- A self-starting, organised individual, familiar with CRM system pipeline management;
- A good technical understanding of APIs with the ability to work with internal functions to form deal teams;
- Prior cross border sales experience would be preferable
- Responsible for cross border payments for Pan India.
- This includes global merchants looking in India market & India merchants looking in global markets
- Creation & Maintenance of key client Account template in different verticals
- Experience in Product, Platform -sales
- Relationship & Customer engagement ; key / platinum clients account handling
- Ownership of Target
- Lead / Pipeline Generation
- Responsible for Revenue Tracking & Payment collection
- Should have strong analytical skill in giving smart & effective solutions to the client
- Provide customized solutions to the clients ; analysis client's pain point & create value add through Companies product
- Sales Process Management
- Agreement closure (independently taking the likely prospect to the logical closure and make merchants live in the system with documentation/ agreement in place)
- Regularly performing the sales discipline processes of reports/report formats expected from time to time
- Knack to interact with CXO level members
- Knowledge of Payment Industry or Knowledge of end-to-end payments in BFSI verticals would be added advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Commerce.
- MBA/PGDBM will be preferred.
