Manager - Business Development - Packaging (3-5 yrs)

The role is to strategically engage with clients (exiting and new) to drive long term partnerships for design of packaging products. As the Manager, Design Sales, you'll hunt for opportunities within medium and large companies to pitch and execute packaging solutions offered by the company.

Key responsibilities :

- You'll build company's sales pipeline through a collaborative process where you discover customer needs, determine whether those are best met through our design solutions, bring in product experts if required, work with the design lab team to meet customer needs, and then work with customers on final design.

- Drive complete client side engagement from research, pitching and acquisition.

- Collaborate with the design intelligence team for category specific insights to enable powerful pitching and seamless acquisition.

- Continuously monitor profitability across the portfolio of design projects

- Identify additional client prospects to grow company's share of wallet and enter new avenues/industries that can be high growth opportunities.

- Identify new business opportunities / capabilities

- Understanding company's internal operations, design capabilities, capabilities and targets. As the face of the Design Lab team, help in building the brand of the company in the packaging design industry.

- You will have to closely work with our internal teams to intelligently identify where to gain leads, how to best utilize our database, how to effectively pitch our design solutions and how customer cycles work in this industry. The sales cycles are typically longer and may take anywhere from two weeks to over six months.

The Requirements :

- To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:

- Compassion to understand the challenges of the clients

- 3+ years of progressive sales experience preferably in a reputed design agency.

- Multiple years of experience in B2B sales, working with medium to large businesses with sales cycles ranging from 2 months to 2 years.

- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.

- Fast learning, networking and researching skills, high energy levels, ability to meet defined targets, sound understanding of business principles.

- A Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft and google Suite products that include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and google docs

- Good leadership skills with structured thinking, having previous experience in handling teams

- Fast learning, networking and researching skills, high energy levels, ability to meet defined targets, sound understanding of business principles.

- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills.
