Manager - Business Development - International Non-Profit Firm (8-15 yrs)

Gurgaon/Gurugram Job Code: 885909

Looking for candidates for the role of Manager - Business Development for a leading international non-profit. The incumbent will identify and drive a number of innovative solutions and scale programs aimed at sustainable and inclusive production and supply arrangements in sectors important to the domestic market in India.

Main responsibilities will include:

1) Defining the needs and opportunities for organisation engagement in consultation with other specialists and managers within the team.

2) Identify and develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and government agencies.

3) Identify funding opportunities (including calls for proposals) and coordinate and take responsibility for the development of proposals and funding requests up to the point of negotiating contracts.

4) Develop innovative funding and implementation arrangements for scaling of inclusive and sustainable programs aimed at the domestic markets in India.

5) The person will work with development, commercial and investment banks as well as prominent supply chain companies - strategizing and then implementing innovative finance schemes to solve complex supply chain bottlenecks. This will include deal origination and structuring of innovative finance projects alongside supply chain companies and financial institutions.

Requirements:

- 8+ years of relevant working experience, in a role as senior in an investment firm, bank or relevant consulting firm.

- Deep knowledge and expertise in international commodity supply chains, corporate sustainability (environmental and social issues), and the reality of developing & emerging economies.

- Strong networks in financial institutions and the world of impact investors/donors.

- Familiarity with data collection and financial analysis of business cases.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English (essential).

- Knowledge of development finance, de-risking, and value chain financing.

- Understanding of critical sustainability challenges in value chains.

- Experience in project management and matrix leadership of teams is a requirement.

- Willingness to travel.
