Sub-Department Procurement
Procurement and sourcing of all Raw Material & Packaging Material (Spends of Around 200 Cr. & more than 200 individual items) for all products cutting across categories and to manage & develop the vendor base
Key Accountabilities:
- Design and implement purchase systems and procedure
- Designs and develops systems to track and rectify variations/ deviations from planned course of action
- Ensuring compliance of good procurement practices
- Determines procurement strategy for all units to control quality, quantity and price issues during procurement
- Development of criteria to select vendors.
- Develops a sourcing strategy for Packaging Material so as to:
- Maximize benefits accruable to the Business
- Reduce lead time in delivery
- Ensure delivery as per specified standards/ specifications.
- Development of a sound vendor base through strict implementation of quality guideline
- Defines pricing policy based on market size, market presence and nature of material being sourced.
- Manages contracts for products with fluctuating as well as stable prices.
- Ensures that required quantities are procured at the optimum price.
- Negotiates contracts with large scale suppliers to gain appropriate savings and service levels.
Educational Qualifications:
MBA from Premier institute
Experience 3-4 years
