Client Details :

Description:
- Based out of Manesar & handling a team of four accountants, as the plant controller you will be responsible for:-
- Taking care of end to end financial operations of the plant - this will involve taking care of the entire accounting, GL, costing functions of the plant and ensure accurate reporting of the same to the corporate office
- Partner with the head of operations and the plant to arrive at strategies and solutions to optimise the functioning of the plant operations.
- The role shall also include preparing plant budgets and ensuring minimisation of variance from the same
- Performing inventory valuation and making relevant recommendations basis the same
- Ensuring compliance from a taxation perspective (direct & indirect)
- Strengthening internal controls of the plan
Overall responsiblities will look like:
1. Candidate shall be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting including the Accounts Payable function.
2. Ensuring that vendor invoices and employee claims are processed in a timely manner and that the payments are remitted on or before the due dates.
3. Ensuring periodic supplier reconciliations, reviewing AP ageing and advances and taking necessary steps for old unresolved items outstanding in the books.
4. Working closely with consultants for timely realization of export incentives.
5. Responsible for closure of month-end activities as per agreed timelines.
6. Candidate would be responsible for the GST and Direct Tax (TDS) compliance.
7. Assist the HQ Team for timely closure of group statutory audit.
8. Responsible for Inventory management and valuation, help in establishing controls around inventory and ensuring reconciliation of physical stock with ERP.
9. Responsible for COGS reconciliation and variance analysis between standard and actual cost.
10. Supporting of MIS function, annual statutory audits etc. Responsible for compilation, review and circulation of various MIS as required by the management at defined frequency.
11. Liaising with the cost accountants and ensuring timely completion of cost audit.
12. Identify areas for process improvements and drive process automation initiatives.
13. Managing a team of 3 - 4 people.
Profile :
You will be a chartered accountant / cost accountant with around 6 years of post qualification experience, most of which will ideally be coming in from a plant / manufacturing / assembly unit. You will have exposure to handling end to end operations of the plant from a financial stand point, which will include (but not limited to) entire accounting, taxation, costing, budgeting, inventory management & internal controls of the plant. You will have strong exposure to IndAs / IGAAP and taxation function as well (TDS, GST etc.)
Further to this you will have a proven track record of ideating and implementing result backed strategic initiatives. You will also have good communication skills and come in from a team management background.
