Job Description:


- Manager (Accounts & Finance) for a trading company has a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Planning and Analysis:


- Develop financial strategies to optimize profitability.


- Analyze cost structures and propose measures to reduce expenses.


- Monitor key financial metrics (e.g., gross margins, working capital).


2. Budgeting and Forecasting:


- Prepare, manage, and monitor annual budgets.


- Provide periodic forecasts based on market trends and sales performance.


3. Accounting and Financial Reporting


- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).


- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.


- Manage inventory valuation and reconciliation to align with trading operations.


4. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management


- Optimize cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.


- Manage working capital efficiently by monitoring receivables, payables, and inventory turnover.


5. Internal Controls and Compliance


- Implement and monitor internal controls to minimize risk and fraud.


- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (GST, Income Tax, TDS) and audit requirements.


- Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits and certifications.


6. ERP and Technology Utilization


- Oversee ERP systems for seamless financial operations and inventory tracking.


- Automate financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.


7. Team Leadership and Development


- Supervise and guide the finance team.


- Provide training on compliance, financial tools, and reporting standards.


8. Strategic Partnerships


- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams for financial alignment.


- Support decision-making on pricing strategies and market expansion plans.


Candidate Details:


Requirements:


- CA Must with Degree in Accounting or equivalent.


- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience.


Key Skills and Knowledge:


- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.


- Expertise in inventory management and cost accounting.


- Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems, Excel, and Tally).


- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address trading-specific challenges.


- Knowledge of compliance, taxation, and international trade regulations (if applicable).


Trading Environment:


- Managing fluctuating margins and price volatility.


- Balancing inventory levels with market demand.


- Ensuring timely collection of receivables to maintain cash flow.
