Looking for Procurement Manager for Gurgaon Location


We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the organization's supply of products and services. Procurement Manager responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. The Procurement Manager's duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people. The role is not limited to the core organization but across various entities housed under the same umbrella.

- Conducts analysis of program policies and procedures, develops plans, formulates guidelines ,implements new policies, procedures and strategies regarding procurement processes and cost-effective purchases.

- Prepare project guidelines, status reports and presentations for stakeholders.

- Research skills to discover profitable suppliers; work with vendors to secure advantageous terms.

- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clear communication of the specifications and expectations of the company

- Thoroughly examine and test existing contracts. Foresee trends and predict alterations in the negotiating ability of suppliers and clients

- Oversee supply needs; maintain necessary approvals before ordering of necessary goods and services

- Manage workflow from initiation to completion (of both purchased orders and deliveries); Coordinate daily duties of procurement support staff

- Monitor approval of stakeholders to maintain an appropriate degree of control over vendor relationships.

- Anticipating unfavorable events through data analysis; prepare control strategies

- Addressal of purchase return and quality compliance

- Frequent travel to supplier's locations for specification and quality tests

QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration -

- 8-12 years of proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE :

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and MS Excel

- Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an aptitude for reading the market.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking.

- Hardworking individual with a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.

- Outstanding decision-making skills and ability to work well with numbers.

- Significant experience in collecting and analyzing data.

- Should be a team worker and have an ability to work with Peers, Seniors and Juniors
