Management Consultant (PMO) - Top Tier Financial Services Firm - Contractual Role


Our client, one of the largest NBFCs, is currently undergoing a business large transformation project and they are looking for a senior project manager to join their team. Currently, the function is managed by an external partner and they would like to start building the capability internally.

The consultant will be responsible for managing the PMO office and act as a key "change leader" in steering the transformation.

Below summarizes the responsibilities of the consultant:

- Identify cross-functional opportunities to drive business through consultation with relevant stakeholders

- Prioritise cross-functional opportunities based on key metrics such as impact, relevance to the growth story, etc.

- Set up each cross-functional initiative for success by gaining buy-in from senior leadership and creating cross-functional teams by clearly articulating time commitments, scope, deadlines, etc.

- Push the portfolio of cross-functional initiatives relentlessly forward by supporting, coaching and challenging the team and relevant functional stakeholders

- Ensure all programs are on track to achieve the overall transformation goal

- Help manage weekly committee meetings including supporting decision-making, actions taking, and coordinating logistics

- Remove roadblocks and serve as a thought partner to key stakeholders

- Deeply understand the pipeline and what potential roadblocks exist. Help navigate through them and find individuals that can assist in optimisation

- Provide problem-solving support to work streams, and drive connectivity across initiatives

- Serve as a thought partner on processes such as operations, governance, and cadence

- Serve as a change leader

- Help introduce transformation vision and ambition to broader stakeholders

- Communicate key transformation messages to everyone in the organisation

An ideal candidate would have :

- 4 to 10 years of strategy consulting experience in the financial services space

- A post-graduation degree from a top-tier university is preferred

- Good communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract. There are two project locations for this role - Delhi or Mumbai and the selected consultant would be required to relocate to either one of these locations.
