Management Consultant - Operational Excellence - BFSI

About the client: Outsized helps clients in building capabilities by bringing in fluid expertise through consulting projects or individual experts. We also provide management consulting services to a select clientele in financial services.

Project Context: Outsized has been working with the end client (an Indian life insurer) to identify and prioritise operational excellence initiatives. Now as the engagement moves from the planning phase to execution, we are looking for a hands-on management consultant with lean and six sigma expertise to work with Outsized and lead project execution.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and run workshops and training sessions on Lean Six Sigma for the project teams

- Working with the end client to identify opportunities by analysing data

- Assist and handhold project teams with the DMAIC for 4-5 operational efficiency initiatives

- Monitor and communicate project progress

- Manage internal and external stakeholders across hierarchies

Key skills and experience needed:

- 6-10 years of experience in management consulting or internal consulting in Financial Services

- Experience working in Financial Services is mandatory. Candidates with previous insurance experience would be preferred

- Experience implementing multiple operational excellence projects using Lean/Six Sigma in a collaborative environment

- Experience planning and running workshops and training sessions on Lean Six Sigma

- Candidates with formal certification in Lean Six Sigma (ideally black belt) would be preferred

Location: The role can be executed remotely for the duration of the contract. No travel will be required initially

Duration: 6-month contract with a possibility to move to a permanent role either with Outsized or with the life insurer

Part-time / Full time: While we would prefer a candidate who can work with us full time, we are open to considering a part-time model for the right candidate but would need a minimum commitment of 2 days/week. However, this role cannot be fulfilled side by side with a full-time job
