As a part of the Special Projects team, you will work on complex problems that affect our growth, profitability and everything in between. In this role, you will basically help with everything from optimizing day-to-day activities to carrying out high-priority initiatives to tackling the most important strategic questions. - You will be responsible for leading these projects and owning their outcomes from start to finish. - Your responsibilities will include designing, executing, training, performance tracking and making improvements in processes among other things. Every day is about thinking and solving new challenges and opportunities that come our way and ensuring that we meet the highest of expectations and deliver business outcomes. Responsibilities : Get things done : - Closely work with the CEO and the Head of Strategy to own and drive various initiatives across the organization (and externally) - Use data and on-ground information to clearly identify the real problems beyond the symptoms - Break the problems into small and actionable units to ensure success - Ideate and come up with different possible solutions and propose the most optimal one. - Divide the solution proposed into multiple projects. Prioritize projects on the basis of impact and effort required. Break down the projects further into actionable steps. - Define the approach for all the actionable steps. Build the required processes with a focus on accuracy, efficiency and scalability. Define and set up KPIs and success metrics to monitor the health of the project. Prepare implementation guidelines and SOPs. Identify resources to work with. Ensure the training of personnel involved and identify specific/periodic training programs, if required. Solve queries raised by the team. If similar queries are raised frequently incorporate in the implementation guidelines and train the team - Productize and automate as much as possible. Be the Product owner - Set up a monitoring protocol. Monitor KPIs and success metrics. Identify issues, modify the plan and processes related to it which may lead to a better outcomes Minimum Qualifications : - 2-3 years of experience working as a consultant at McKinsey, Bain or BCG - Within the top 5% grades from top IIMs or IITs or ISB - Experience working as a Chief of Staff/Consultant to a founder is a plus - Prior experience in ideating and building product strategy from scratch is also a big plus You are a good fit if : - You are a visionary - You love to take on really challenging problems and follow through end to end on the process and outcomes - You are highly analytical and are able to look at problems objectively and can hustle to solve them creatively - You are a good communicator and an excellent writer. Since we are an async and remote-first company, most of our work is written. Were starting with home painting where our biggest competitor is CertaPro a $550M revenue franchise (1% market share) before quickly taking on Neighborly Brands as we expand categories (pest control, lawn care, etc.). As we expand categories, our customer does not change : - Our customer is an aspiring business owner, like Nick or Hardin who doesn't care what type of business they start, as long as it is profitable. - Our customers are not actually the one painting houses or completing roofing jobs, rather they are the ones that hire people to do the job.
