Magic Bus is recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute as one of India's Best Employers among Nation Builders Role: The incumbent will generate dashboards and key insights to be used internally to champion Magic Bus investments into strengthening programmes, evidence in current areas of work, building out new areas of work and organization-wide technology implementation. S/he will also identify external data sources, relevant to our work, and triangulate the information with our internal data to provide recommendations on our strategy, potential new areas of work and leading practices. The ideal candidate will be agile learner and be able to collect, analyze, and understand data to provide actionable insights in support of our work. Responsibilities: - Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems. Conducting ground research if required, coming up ways to showcase and present the research in a report - Build efficient and well documented methods for easy, repeatable extraction & cleaning of primary and secondary data sources, interpret data, analyzing results and trends, using statistical techniques where appropriate - Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets - Process ad hoc data requests and the deliverable should be timely, accurate and supported by definitions and insights where appropriate - Developing analytic methods to generate dashboards and other information-sharing tools - Producing data-driven insights and recommendations to improve the impact and effectiveness of our work through data analysis - Partnering with the Leadership team and Management team to identify and bridge data gaps - Ensures adherence to high standards of data quality and data analysis for all datasets maintained and analyzed by the team Desired Competencies: - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy - Experience in managing large data sets, research design and publication preferred - Proven effectiveness working in a team-based environment, but capable also of working independently - Strong drive for results; ability to effectively prioritize, adjust quickly to changing priorities and execute while under pressure - Excellent communication skills and good writing skills Qualification and Experience: - Master's Degree in Public Policy, Economics, Statistical Research, Analytics or equivalent advanced degree/ MBA from premier institute - 2-3 years in data analytics, market analysis, business intelligence, management consulting or other relevant private/public sector experience utilizing modeling tools (e.g., STATA, SAS, R, Python, or other data management) and visualization software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
