Role Purpose:

Partner independently with business functions to provide insights and recommendations to drive growth and efficiency

Role Summary :

- Work closely with Head of Analytics to analyze different data sets and, based on findings, give recommendations to countries, digital marketing, merchandising, and UX

- Partner with respective business leaders to drive day to day decision making

- Drive weekly/monthly business reviews and perform RCA's on key metrics anomalies

- Identify business problems & provide analytical solutions resulting in GMV improvement

- Work closely with digital teams for planning and target setting for different countries and channels

- Work with engineering teams to understand the data structure & streamline reporting for assigned business function

Skills needed :

- Proficient in coding languages like SQL, Python

- Experience in visualization tools like Tableau

- Experience working in BiqQuery or AWS

- Exposure to statistics, predictive modeling

- Ability to understand business problem and translate into analytical solutions

- Strong communication and story telling skills

- Ability to work in a fast paced start-up environment

- Proactive & execution focused approach with high ownership & accountability

Human Capital Responsibilities:

- Role model and ensure the application of Majid Al Futtaim Retail corporate policies and guarantee the implementation of all laws, regulations and cultural practices of the operating countries are followed and respected.

Finance Responsibilities:

- Ensure alignment of procedures in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA)

- Assist in monitoring allocated budget to ensure compliance and highlight possible issues

- Provide inputs on cost reduction measures

- Be a role model, and ensure the application of Majid Al Futtaim Retail corporate policies and guarantee the implementation of all laws, regulations and cultural practices of the operating countries are followed and respected.

- Practice the company values and guarantees the same is respected and followed by the department team members.

- Responsible for the Performance Management of the team:

- Setting particular objectives for the direct reports - once a year - which are in-line with the company and department targets.

- Carrying out performance analysis with regular feedback to direct reports and ensuring that this is further deployed within the team.

- Identify employees with high potential, growth and proposes further development.

- Identify and recommend training needs for the team and follow up on the implementation (TNA).

- Develop and implement on the job-training for the team.

- Promotes and practice communication and participatory management within the team.

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications/education:

- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

Minimum experience:

- 4+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analysis role

- Experience in retail/e-commerce is a plus

Skills:

- Excellent skills in driving the development of analytics and insights

- Strong experience in Data Visualization, ideally in Tableau or Google Data Studio

- Strong experience in Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel

- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

- English (Full professional proficiency - Required) Arabic (Professional efficiency - Advantage)
