Maersk - Specialist - Global Payroll Operations (8-10 yrs)

We Offer:

This role would give you an opportunity of managing end- to- end operational activities related to payroll for international assignees (300+ long term and short term) across variety of Maersk brands spanning 60+ countries

Active participation and involvement in the global project of outsourcing expat payroll deliverables (withholding tax and other regulatory requirements) to an external global provider for long term and short term (LTA & STA) assignees alongside with active involvement in other Global HR / Payroll projects.

This position would report to Head, Payroll Delivery, International Assignees

Key Responsibilities:


The role will entail the following activities:

- Consolidate and validate payroll data from Global Mobility and HR on new assignments / changes / terminations on a timely manner

- Submit baseline data to Deloitte for further enhancement in terms of tax gross up calculation and social security indication

- Ensure that enhanced instruction is processed through payroll by the payroll provider

- Validate of payroll output results against payroll inputs to ensure that all compensation elements are processed correctly

- Ensure tax, social security and pension compliances are taken care of for international assignees

- Manage operational activities of international assignee payroll outsourcing to Deloitte

- Liaise with multiple stakeholders (internal & external) viz Country HR / Finance, external payroll vendor, tax consultants etc related to payroll deliverables

- Manage and close all activities with respect to annual salary revision activities for expats from a payroll perspective with 100% accuracy

- Track IA matrixes in the format of monthly power point presentation

- Build a risk profile for International Assignees - identify, prioritize, prepare and execute the mitigation plan for the identified risks.

- Experience in handling projects related to payroll migration at a local / global level

- Experience in handling expat payroll

Who we are looking for:

- A go- getter with 8-10 years of work experience in Payroll and Compliance space. Exposure to global payroll / expat payroll will be a differentiating factor.

- End to end payroll management for international assignees across various Maersk brands.

- Active participation and involvement in global HR and Payroll projects

- Well versed with all aspects of Payroll & Compliance

- Experienced user of technologies and tools over MS Office, SAP, Workday, Deloitte's GA IHR payroll software (GA IHR is a rather complex tool and require fast learning skills)

- Self-starter who can function independently with minimum supervision

- Demonstrates keen sense of urgency

- Disciplined in terms of quality and timeliness

- Understands and honours security and confidentiality aspects of Compensation and Payroll

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

- Good inter- personal skills

- Strong stakeholder and project management skills

- Ability to think out of the box
