The Operations process in the GSC is equipped with skills and competencies to seamlessly manage work that has been offshored to the GSCs from across LOCs, CCs and the Centre. Key responsibilities : - Own assigned countries/clusters/customers for DG bookings End to End. - Responsible for ensuring all DG shipments are booked/loaded as per guidelines - Identify growth opportunities along with front office and develop solutions to support the growth. - Work with safety first mindset and prevent any mis-declared, undeclared goods to get on board Maersk ships - Manage all day-to-day Dangerous Cargo operation activities, in accordance with the targets specified. Ensure a reliable and error-free performance for all Dangerous Cargo tasks. - Identify and implement business process improvements. - Plan and organize day-to-day tasks across the functions in GSC OPS with the usage of workflow tools. - Develop long-term plans for staff planning and organization. Coordinate and arrange inducement and regular staff training across functions. - Participate in the development of global and local contingency plans and implement same. - Engage and coordinate system support across functions. This can be related to global systems or global tools and covers Dangerous Cargo Booking, Approvals & Indexing in accordance of the IMDG code and CFR49 rules and regulations. - Be a role model, coach and lead the Dangerous Cargo team in living and delivering the Maersk T&L Vision, the Objectives and demonstrate the Cultural Amplifiers of Maersk. - Ensure the staff in Dangerous Cargo team is well trained at any time including industry knowledge, and process training. - Ensure the staff has the optimal composition considering the character of tasks and the need for developing future leaders. - Lead ad hoc projects as assigned. - Share best practices with other OPS GSC's and Clusters. - Provide one stop solution to customers - Challenge status -Quo on a regular basis - Communicate with customers for giving advisory support to customer on preferable trade routes and slot availabilities - Provide Consultancy support to customers on documentation, and packaging of cargo being shipped - Having a deep understanding about the customer's line of businesses, future growth prospects and current challenges of customer while doing business with Maersk - Regular interaction with the customer focal on booking forecasts - Achieve/exceed targets of service delivery. - Identify growth opportunities that lies for customers - Identify waste that lies in the processes and work towards removing those by implementing automations or leaner processes. - Generate Process improvement leads and establish regular liaisons with all upstream and downstream teams to deliver results - Weekly performance presentation to Leadership on BAU and future projects - Analyse service delivery issues within Team and take corrective action to avoid reoccurrence - Drive Agile mindset with working teams We are looking for : Knowledge & Qualifications : - Graduate in any stream, preferably a chemistry / marine graduate - MBA with any specialization - Past shipping experience of IMDG Preferable Special Skills Required : - Ability to demonstrate Impeccable ownership without supervision - Experience on Agile change management projects - Ability to challenge as-is process and drive to establishing future state - Proven experience on customer engagement and change management - Excellent communicator verbal / non-verbal - Logical thinker - Good working experience with RPA / Automation solutions - Good Market research and analysis experience - Proven experience on presenting proposals and solutions to customers
