Maersk - Manager - HSSE & CSR - Contractual Role

Maersk is looking for HSSE & CSR Manager.

Maersk Procurement is a global set-up of procurement organisation in Maersk, impacting multiple supplier categories. Mumbai set-up of Maersk Procurement is one of the largest procurement hubs at Maersk, and also manages the office operations of our co-located office in Mumbai hosting other Maersk entities as well.

Key responsibilities :

- Drive the HSSE agenda for Procurement and Fleet Management BUs in India

- Drive - best-in-class- safety culture for Maersk Mumbai (Vikhroli) office in consultation with IBS HSSE team

- Identify & drive safety improvement and environment sustainability initiatives for Maersk Vikhroli office

- Support safety reporting on incidents and co-ordinate closure of action points

- Co-ordinate with IBS HSSE team on safety and health campaigns and programs to be rolled out for Procurement and Fleet Management

- Co-ordinate and conduct safety walks

- Run safety inductions for key visitors of Procurement and Fleet Management

- Co-ordinate and participate in Site HSSE committee meetings

- Support Admin. team in fire drills and other safety related exercises

- Co-ordinate BCM/Crisis Management actions for Procurement and Fleet Management

- Drive the COVID-19 response actions and reporting for Procurement and Fleet Management in consultation with India Leadership team and IBS HSSE

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activities :

- CSR Lead and Focal for GPRO Services India Pvt. Ltd. (GSIPL) and Maersk Fleet Management & Technology (I) Pvt. Ltd. (MFMT)

- Define and maintain CSR objectives for GSIPL and MFMT

- Co-ordinate Employee CSR Committee meetings - call-in for meetings and drive actions

- Prepare the CSR Budget for GSIPL and MFMT with inputs from Finance and Company Secretary

- Represent GSIPL and MFMT in Maersk India CSR Committee

- Co-ordinate employee volunteering activities and CSR fund collection drives

- Co-ordinate with CSR partner (Teach for India) for MoUs, quarterly reports, employee contributions and 80G certificates

- Drive employee communication on CSR activities - co-ordinate for CSR Newsletter and other campaigns

- Support in compliance reporting for CSR funds and spend for GSIPL and MFMT.

Please note that this is a contractual position for 9-10 months.

Based on the performance and business needs it may or may not be converted to permanent.

We are looking for:

- 7+ years experienced HSSE professional with robust knowledge of HSE management systems and driving safety culture

- Experience in Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management

- Ability to interact with and influence senior stakeholders

- Ability to own and drive initiatives independently with attention to detail

- Collaborative working style and ability drive alignment with key stakeholders

- Manage priorities and stakeholder expectations

- Knowledge and experience in CSR field is preferable, but not mandatory

- Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluency in English
