Key responsibilities :


We are looking for an Instructional Designer to design and develop learning and practice experiences.

The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. Also promote innovation in the use of e-Learning/ILT benefit learning, teaching and research throughout the curriculum.

Responsibilities :

- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer

- E2E course design

- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods. Practise ADDIE with a leaning towards SAM

- Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs

- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them

- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product

- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts

- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process

- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)

- Co-create and decide on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments

- Maintain project documentation and course folders

- Work with various SMEs, trainers and other experts in the continued development of the corporate vision of maximizing e-Learning

- Evaluate and confirm learning objectives through ongoing needs assessments

- Perform design, development, execution and evaluation

- Design and develop supporting aides for print, classroom and on-the-job training materials

- Design, develop and deploy e-learning content based on business needs

- Provide reporting to management on web-based training progression and completion, student usage, and instructor-led training completions

- Ensure LMS supports the performance and quality of the e-Learning product

- Maintain data integrity rules and processes for the LMS, such as course descriptions, course or class changes, instructors and delivery costs

- Responsible for LMS system standards for Building Efficiency. Documents and publishes all Building Efficiency LMS system standards

- Work with Training Coordinators and Registrars to ensure proper setup and system support for complex learning activities within the LMS

- Provide consulting and advice to Learning and Development Leads regarding optimal LMS system configurations for enrollment, scheduling, and logistics practices

- Maintain application level Subject Matter Expertise on Learning Management System and reporting systems. Capability to perform as a 3rd level system support to helpdesk

- Manage the L&D Product Lifecycle process as it relates to the LMS

- Facilitate and deliver LMS system and business process learning sessions to required audiences. Sessions may include live classroom sessions, synchronous or asynchronous webinars, and one-on-one, on-the-job training. Flexes instruction and facilitation style and approach to fit the needs of the audience, content, and local business or cultural requirements

- Develop Application Training specific to instructional content for web-based training materials

- Participate in the needs assessment, design, and development of product and role-specific curriculum roadmaps and high-level designs

- Interact with SMEs in planning and scoping requirements for curriculum

- Function on curriculum teams and independently in the design, development, and testing of instructional materials

- Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contributes to new curriculum or program ideas

- Participate in beta deliveries of new courses; occasional travel overseas for pilot support

- Develop course descriptions and related course-specific marketing documents and tools

- Contribute to storyboarding, authoring, and development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions

- Provide one-on-one (both face-to-face and online) consultation to subject matter experts and faculty in exploring possibilities and constructing content

- Use various instructional technologies to improve teaching and learning. Jointly develops, designs, and conducts instructional technology

- Utilize development software (examples could be Dreamweaver and Flash) to devise courses and programs

- Develop action plans, timetables, benchmarks, quantitative targets for online programs and projects

- Conduct project outreach and assists in working with vendors and external project developers. Assists with curricular development and program delivery.

We are looking for :

HIGHLY INTERESTED IN LEARNING AND A SUPER FAST LEARNING CURVE

- Proven experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and asynchronous learning content

- Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology

- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models ADDIE//SAM

- Lesson and curriculum planning skills

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization

- Knowledge of the intelligence community preferred

- Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge

- Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System

- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard

- High comfort level with AR and VR technologies. Able to design and develop content for an immersive experience

- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts

- Bachelor's degree or at least a diploma in instructional design, educational technology or similar / Associate's or Bachelor's degree/PG in related instructional content, development, or delivery field, or equivalent industry experience or certification

- Desirable to have at least 2 years in the technology industry or a technology department

- Must have 5 or more years of solid experience in a functional training role with emphasis on technology and business process training development and design

- Proven track record in developing original and innovative technical and related process training programs, workshops and demonstrations; experience developing instructor-led training materials and self-paced learning content

- Experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and asynchronous learning content

- Foundation knowledge and understanding of learning theory and instructional design techniques

- Excellent written and verbal English skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development, editing and communication. Complete fluency in English required. Other language skills welcome, but not required

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint, particularly as used in the development of instructional content

- Highly self-motivated and self-managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal coaching or supervision

- Ability to organise and work under strict time and production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables

- Designs, develops, and deploys e-learning content based on business needs

- Provides reporting to management on web-based training progression and completion, student usage, and instructor-led training completions

Technical skills desirable :

- HTML 5, or at least basic HTML, Flash

Authoring tools: Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, the entire Adobe suite (Adobe Premiere Pro: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge of at least 1 LMS - Moodle, Cornerstone, Blackboard

- Experience with graphic design packages, including the Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Freehand, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and 3D Studio Max, Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
