Maersk Line India is looking for a Senior Executive- Operations at Nhava Sheva port reporting to the Regional Operations Manager for West India. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating on terminal and vessel operations related matters with various stake holders, managing vendors involved in landside, intermodal and container positioning related activities as well as driving savings plans for the region We Offer: An excellent opportunity for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for daily Intermodal, Equipment and Inland Container Terminal operations execution. - In coordination with LOC, Responsible to ensure that containers that gate in at the port are loaded as booked. - Responsible for following up with rail vendors and ensuring that containers are railed out to inlands as per the transport plan without any delays. - Responsible for ensuring that first mile / last mile trucking, vessel connections for carrier haul customers are completed as per the transport plan. - Managing connection of cargo to destined service, avoiding/ managing service failures & minimizing claims & liability. With special focus on key clients. - Responsible for maintaining requisite empty inventory at responsible locations to maximize exports & work in tandem with cross functions to increase equipment match back, reduce positioning cost. - Responsible for Cost Savings Initiatives for the whole region - Responsible for ensuring that equipment does not stay as longstanding. - Establish good relations with terminal, rail operators, internal & external stake holders, actively contributing & learning from best practices. - Work closely with cross functions & external stake holders to proactively solve operational challenges & deliver what we have promised to the customer. - Responsible for adherence to all defined operations processes at all responsible locations & Comply with regulation in place. - Carrying out process audits to verify integrity of processes & implement improvements to avoid any loss of revenue or reduce cost. - Responsible for management & assessment of vendor as per agreed SLAs. Who we are looking for : - 2 years or experience in a challenging fast paced business environment. - A combination of operational experience & proven portfolio would be preferred. - MBA preferred
