Manager - Travel Expense Management - We are looking for a Manager- Travel Expense Management (TEM) to join our Global Travel team comprising of procurement professionals in Mumbai where you will build an extensive understanding of the A.P. Key responsibilities : - End to end ownership of the TEM process for the Region/Areas allocated. Ensure all processes are performed as per the agreed terms in Service Level agreement&nbsp; - Timely & Accurate deliverable structure & drive compliance on various policies that strengthen the business. - The individual is expected to be well versed with generally accepted accounting policies, Group Travel policies etc. Expense reports :&nbsp; - Review expense reports submitted by employees for overall reasonableness; ensure that users are not in violation of Corporate Travel Policy and Government regulations. Help Desk : Provide backup support and engage in solutions to user problems to ensure user satisfaction and productivity. Reports :&nbsp; - Review all daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure that data is processing correctly per audit rules and Corporate policy. This includes ensuring receipt flags are set properly and employee data is updated properly - Establish the accounting &amp; financial impact of the process performed and strive to improve the quality of the financial statements - Establish the control dash board impact of the process; Strive to improve the control dash board scores - Identifying ad-hoc requirements / exceptions and ensure that the requirements are fulfilled with a sense of urgency - Demonstrate full ownership and accountability of TEM related GL Accounts in balance sheet - Ensure processes executed are compliant with internal risk and compliance guidelines and global travel policy. New implementations :&nbsp; - Work with the management, and IT staff to set up and monitor implementation of new business units on the Corporate Travel and Expense reporting solution. This could be due to acquisitions or the growth/reorganization, and adoption of corporate business units using the automated expense reporting system. - Support as necessary the linking of new Corporate Cards to employee in expense reporting system to ensure Corporate Card automated feed of charges. Monitor Corporate Card payments and refunds. - Work directly with employees to address complaints, requests and other matters relating to expense reporting and Corporate Travel Policy. Supports the IT Infrastructure/Data Center. - Handle External and Group auditors during regular audits and ensure findings are appropriately followed up and closed. - Facilitate smooth running of the business and day to day operations by delivering consistent and seamless service. - Develop performance management framework to accomplish overall organizational requirements of performance delivery. - Design mechanism for monitoring performance across various processes and countries - Facilitate execution of business continuity plans based on organization inputs. - Handle regular as well as ad-hoc reporting necessary for the process - Maintain adequate internal control and segregation of duties. - Lead and motivate the team towards achieving a common set of goals. - Facilitate creation of clear and transparent mechanism of staff performance management, including setting of performance objectives. - Conduct Performance appraisals and address development needs and mentor team leads, team members for taking up higher responsibilities - Develop second in line and back-ups for all critical areas. Establish and appraise on staff personal critical success factors, address performance appraisals, recommend promotions, transfers, mentoring &amp; coaching etc - Create the right environment for a high performing team and ensuring the leadership pipeline is constantly full and flowing - Constantly engage with the business partners in listening &amp; understanding their requirements and ensure that they are met. - Drive a culture of continuous improvement We are looking for : - The ideal candidate must have a Masters degree with 10+ years of strong accounting back ground, with proven track record of leading large teams and handling large geographies. - Must have a working knowledge of expense reporting software and Microsoft products with Excel expertise. - The candidate is expected to have a sound knowledge in analysing the GL accounts and have experience in working in SAP, receivables &amp; collections along with understanding the nuances of the transaction process &amp; operational business processes - Leadership skills and proven people management experience is a must - In addition, the candidate should possess excellent English communication skills both verbal and written as regular interaction with the global team is expected. - This position requires some knowledge and experience in Payroll, Computer skills, Accounts Payable, Travel Reimbursement and General Accounting to handle the daily activities and provide customer support. Knowledge in the different Accounting processes (Corporate Card, G/A, Payroll, A/P, etc.).
