Appetizer: - We are looking for an L&D Leader to build strong Finance domain capabilities through design and deployment of learning initiatives and platforms across the GSC Finance verticals supporting Maersk Transport & Logistics. - This role will fully own the Functional L&D related process and governance for day to day operations as well as strategy driven design and improvement. - This role would lead a team that would be drive continuous improvement in the Finance domain through Training Need Identification, Stakeholder input and feedback, predicting future trends and skills, implementation of plan with relevant updated tools and technology. - A key focus area for this role would be stakeholder management across T&L FNA GSC and support towards multiple strategic initiatives that aim at taking the process to next level. - L&D cuts across all key verticals like ATR, P2P and OTC. The mandate is to improve and standardise learning initiatives to support execution to work effectively and efficiently and to prepare and implement continuous capability development framework and work closely with HR to develop talents. Key responsibilities: - Establish capability development framework relevant to each vertical (Accounting to Reporting, Order to Cash and Procure to Pay) and its evolving landscape - Design and execute an Onboarding strategy for all new joinees in the GSC Finance organization including building Shipping Industry know-how and E2E process overview - Design Continuous Development Framework for Finance employees through Product knowledge assessment and relevant Refresher Programs - Support digital transformation initiatives in Finance vertical of all 3 Business units - Maersk Line, Damco and APM Terminals - Evolve customised learning solutions to address specific business challenges as required - Support key process improvement projects in the Finance verticals - Professionalize the Finance function through the Education at work program addressing relevant certifications and professional courses for the Finance verticals - Enabling business continuity through Cross-trainings and two-level back up for critical processes - Ensure a robust Training Need identification process and continuous and effective communication to stakeholders - Execute the Training and Functional skill building agenda through a team of ~15 Trainers spread across the 4 sites - Chengdu, Manila, Pune, Chennai Required experience & skills: - Masters in Finance preferable / Strong FNA domain knowledge - Well versed with L&D activities and life cycle, with relevant L&D certification - Ability to manage engagement with cross location and cross cultural organization and work together with critical stakeholders - Engaging personality with highly developed and effective communication skills Ability to handle multiple assignments whilst ensuring on time delivery to a high standard. - Experience in managing at least 10 people earlier in similar large corporate house - Attention to detail and Program management skills - Positive attitude to challenges, with ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment. - Ability to delegate effectively at the right level - Ability to focus effort and effectively prioritize work to deliver business value. - Leadership skills - proven ability to effectively lead, motivate and drive actions in the larger organization - Skills of influence - ability to constructively challenge and influence others at broader level - Awareness of shipping industry is a plus
