Job Description for Intermodal Manager: Responsibilities: - Responsible for cargo movement and intermodal cost leadership with timely dispatch of containers - Lead and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives - Improve customer experience while using intermodal product. - Lead and coach a team of colleagues towards cost effectiveness, and customer service excellence - Run the business by managing all day-to-day activities which are supported by the Intermodal Execution team in the GSC - Ensure that all store door import and export requirements are adhered to, including meeting and exceeding customer requirements and expectations, safety, documentation and regulatory requirements - Initiate and resolve complex cargo dispatch issues and ensure solutions are fully implemented within the teams. - Drive cost leadership - Monitor, record and report cost savings, service failures, cost changes, and any other input towards key measurements - Actively pursue cost saving initiatives to drive down intermodal, positioning, and storage costs - Ensure cost recovery on any extra costs and measure the team on recovery performance. - Participate and contribute towards the ML operating system and to build that culture in the team - Work closely with other Maersk business units, including Customer Service, Sales and TnM to ensure the timely and cost effective movement of customer cargo - Key Stakeholder management - Build a good working relationship with vendors and customers to ensure customer satisfaction - Ensure all new change initiatives are implemented by the team - Supervise and develop your team through learning and development, coaching, goal setting, periodic feedback and reviews. Eligibilty: - Provide the business with necessary and relevant Analytics/BI Products for informed decision making and ensure delivery of expected business & Process outcomes, such as reduced cost and enhanced profitability, while improving the customer experience. - 12+ years of work experience - Experience in shipping / SCM & Logistics domain - Must have a problem-solving mindset & experience in process management - Have prior experience in BI and Analytical front - Good with project/stakeholder management - Open for perpetual night shift - Advance Excel expertise - Technically savvy with Power-BI, Micro-Strategy, etc. - Have worked on large data sets to solve for Business problems Maersk is an integrated container logistics company working to connect and simplify its customers' supply chains.
