Maersk Line - Assistant Manager - Sourcing

Maersk is currently looking to hire an Assistant Sourcing Manager for our Procurement Team in Mumbai.

Moller - Maersk organization to ensure a measurable difference to the bottom line. You will work on a mix of categories and projects where you - in close cooperation with internal stakeholders - will assist business units with identifying and executing appropriate sourcing strategies for important cost elements for the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of Maersk Indirect Procurement, you will have to support and independently analyze and execute procurement activities within the global scope of Professional Services. You will be expected to develop Total Cost of Ownership models to understand cost structures, build negotiation strategies and execute them together with the core project team.

The Professional Services team supports the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group with category management of: Management Consultancy Services, HR Services, Marketing & Communication Services, Insurances, Pension and Outsourced & Offshoring services. The team has expertise in a wide range of capabilities, including category management, project management, consulting and negotiations.

Specifically, you will support the business with:

- End to end category management

- Leading sourcing projects and support project teams within Professional Services

- Preparing and conducting negotiations

- Leading contractual discussions with suppliers

- Leading creative idea generation workshops with suppliers and internal stakeholders to explore new ways of doing business and achieve cost synergies

- Gathering and analyzing market developments

- Developing quantitative and qualitative models to analyze supplier offers

- Mapping and analyzing data on current spend patterns and understanding cost drivers in the marketplace

Who we are looking for:

- The ideal candidate must have a Master's degree with 2-4 years of relevant category management experience with-in Indirect Procurement, ideally Professional Services.

- The ideal candidate would have worked actively with category management, execution of procurement processes including spend and data analysis, RFx process, stakeholder management, work plan development, procurement strategy development and negotiation planning and execution.

- In addition, the candidate should possess excellent English communication skills both verbal and written as regular interaction with the global team is expected.
