Maersk is looking to hire Hull Performance Manager to for our Fleet Management and Technology Team in Mumbai. We Offer :&nbsp; - This role will provide the operational and technical insight and understanding within Fleet Management and Technology for Under Water Operations (UWO). - Seek out new opportunities for optimisation within the Underwater Operations landscape. Ensure that statutory port regulations from a marine biofouling perspective is adhered in coordination with local liner operations as well as the Environmental Manager. - Liaising and planning of dive operations to optimize bunker consumption and lead time of Time charter fleet. - Close coordination with vessel performance managers, TC Owners, liner operations cluster, local agents, post fixture operations and diving vendors across global locations to ensure time bound scheduling of dive works viz. Propeller polishing, hull photographic inspection, hull cleanings, in water surveys etc. - As part of Maersk Line Fleet Management Technology operate fully aligned with the company's core values as well as goals commonly set by the Management of ML Ship Management and with a foresight to prepare for the projected growth with respect to safety, competence building, human resources, systems and procedures. Key responsibilities : - Planning &amp; Co-ordination of propeller polishing, hull cleanings and hull inspection for ML operated TC fleet. - Assist with dry docking business cases, as needed and quality assessments on the hull activities. - Contribute towards developing an UW Module within the star-connect platform under Smart Solutions - Leading projects connected to Underwater Operations. Engaging with team and relevant stakeholders for moving to a predictive hull cleaning model for the underwater operations. - ROFO preparation for annual spend and thereby doing operational analysis to suggest scope of improvements - Engaging at Cross functional level to take lead on cost benefit case for different strategic decisions viz- Early Dry docking, Dry docking optimization, planned idling strategies, Paint upgradation etc- - Support Chartering with Pre-Fixture Hull assessment and assist with execution of Under Water Operation - Support the team by filling gaps when challenges on bandwidth, and monitoring critical UW jobs, as and when required. - Taking lead on innovative projects with A3 methodology - Developing standards/guidelines for Propeller polishing, hull cleaning and relevant underwater activities etc. - Ensure that good co-ordination for planned propeller polishing, hull cleaning and inspections between vessel, TC Owners, port, liner operation and diving company. - Ensure good engagement with global dive vendors for dive operations and actively participate in negotiations and assist procurement team for finalizing framework agreements - Review Hull performance and provide the insights to vessel Performance Managers - Proactive approach in planning to ensure ML fleet has the best hull performance. - Ensure that documentation of underwater operations is kept up to date. - Study dive reports and provide fair assessment to performance managers. We are looking for : - Naval Architect or Chemical/paint engineer with maritime experience or Sailing Experience as an Engineer or Deck Officer. - Any relevant experience or understanding of Underwater Operations within the shipping industry would be preferred. Knowledge in Data tools such as Power BI, R, Python etc will be added advantage. - Project management experience is an advantage. - Good understanding of Ship performance and efficiency - Practical understanding and performance of different grade of marine paint w.r.t ship's hull would be advantageous. - Good understanding of MS office tools, including, outlook, excel and word. - Experience in managing multiple stakeholders with different priorities - Good and effective communication skills. Good technical skills to interact with stakeholders and vessel crew via available communication medium (Emails, telephone, video conference, etc.) - Flexibility to adjust to work timings as per the business requirements. - Good Organizational and analytical skills - Should be able to share knowledge &amp; accept ideas - Independent, systematic and detail-oriented worker - Enthusiastic and motivated person - Must have a positive and pro-active attitude
