Maersk is looking for a passionate HR Business Partner who would work closely with People leaders to drive impactful business results. The incumbent will be appointed on a 1-year fixed term contract. The role reports to the HR BP South East and Sri Lanka. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with line management and employees to improve work environment, build engagement and increase productivity with retention - Keep abreast of business development in the company & area of scope to understand their impact on / opportunities for people. - Periodically revisit organization structure, evaluate effectiveness with a growth & cost lens - Ensure smooth employee communication and relations by managing grievances, two-way communication, creating a climate and culture of openness, belonging and result orientation. - Drive BAU HR activities like Performance Management, Engagement Survey, Training, Annual Compensation Review, etc supporting people managers with tools, clarity, training on the right behaviors and in ensuring basic HR hygiene factors like payroll, benefits etc. are executed accurately & timely. - Conceptualize & implement HR communication plans/campaigns to drive compelling, engaging people initiatives with adherence to the corporate branding framework - Be the resource investigator for the team leading benchmarking Workplace survey like Great Place to Work, Avataar, Great Managers Award, etc. - Support the leaders & stakeholders with communication drafts, review decks and manage the social media postings (internal and external) - Facilitate skip level meetings to identify areas of improvement in various teams and propose appropriate engagement intervention. Stay connected with employees, do regular 1-1 with critical people and pre-empt risks - Liaison with Industrial Relations, Administration and/or other departments as relevant. - Contribute to HR projects in the BU or at the Area level; draw upon past experiences, external network and resources We are looking for: - Minimum 5 to 7 years- experience in Human Resources with 5+ years- experience in HR Business Partnering. - Post graduate studies in Human Resource management preferred/ MA Psychology - Demonstrated skills in various HR functional areas with the ability to work at all level s of the HR - stack- (strategic, operational and tactical) - Ability to influence, collaborate and drive amidst ambiguity & unstructured environment, recognizing when it's appropriate to introduce more structure/ process without derailing the current output - Stakeholder management - Entrepreneurial drive with cost-conscious mindset - Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills - Communication skills, analytical skills and inclination to challenge Status quo - Fluent in local language Tamil and English
