Work Experience: 15+ years of experience in software development end experience with agile and DevOps

Key Skills:

- 10+ years of experience as senior engineer who has built solutions in an agile/DevOps environment as well as acted team lead in that space.

- Should have in depth exposure to traditional ETL, DW and Visualization technology but also needs to possess fundamental awareness of next gen. technologies like Hadoop, Azure, Cloudera, Informatica and should have fundamental experience with open source technology etc.

- Must have driven data warehousing migrations and projects at a holistic level, driving across multiple streams of one or more products simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Product Lead to understand business needs across product portfolio, spar with the Architect to refine solution designs and spar with the Scrum Master to enable agile on an ad hoc basis

- Work with other Engineering Managers to drive platform and technology strategy to truly enable DevOps and target continuous release

- Translate requirements that need to be developed and act as day to day architect in the DevOps setting, recommending alternative approaches when necessary -

- Responsible for defining the development methodology, ensuring adoption across the engineering team and SCRUM teams.

- Stay on top of development activities across multiple products while communicating status and progress back to the Product Owner and related stakeholders

- Lead a team of highly motivated engineers towards building and delivering solutions that support central business outcomes -

- Accountable for the product specific development, construction, test and maintenance of delivered solutions

Business & Technical Skills:

- Skilled stakeholder - and people manager with the ability to communicate complex messages, constructively challenge Product Owners and related stakeholders

- Ability guide engineers through successful agile development projects in a DevOps setting, including testing and deployment - Setting and leading high performing-, skilled- and impactful teams

- Has worked on scalable data architecture & analytics including experience from project management on multiple platforms

- Expertise on building horizontally scalable, distributed, resilient, fault tolerant and monitored solutions

General Skills:

- An excellent team player, balanced with strong autonomy and high motivation to deliver and lead

- An out-of-the-box-thinker with an open mind who is intrigued by new ideas and innovative solutions

- Working proactively to learn new technologies and is an inspiration to team and colleagues

Qualifications:

- IT or Computer Science engineering degree preferred

- Needs to have a solid understanding of agile system development - experience with coding languages is a plus 

- Fundamental managerial skills preferably from an agile setting
