Maersk - Associate - Custom House Brokerage

Maersk Line is looking to hire CHB Associate in Mumbai Location.

An opportunity in CHB team to work with customers at various complexity levels, extensive geographical scope, large business scale and impact, and providing the customs clearance activities to ensure great customer experience with the Maersk organization.

- A challenging opportunity involves engagement with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

- Customs House Brokerage

- Handle E2E communication with customer & vendor for EXIM shipments.

- Handle queries w.r.t pre or post clearance documentation.

- Keep a record of all original SB, BOE and other documents.

- Update all records, DSR and CHB AppLite for all the respective shipments

- Follow up for outstanding statements with vendors on weekly basis and ensure support to finance for processing the vendor payments.

- Coordinate with CFS and CHA for daily operations and clearance activities.

- Visit customs for shipment-related issues (if required).

We are looking for:

- Good knowledge of Export and Import policies/notifications & on-ground operations

- Good knowledge of ICEGATE, DGFT etc

- Good computer skills such as excel, presentation etc

- Good spoken and written communication skills

- Good contacts with the CFS, customs and shipping lines

- Consistent ability to meet and adhere to deadlines.

- Passion, initiative and drive to continuously develop and work with creativity and innovation.

- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service skills.

- Ambitious and result-oriented self-starter with initiative and strong drive.

- Experience required is 2-3 years.
