Job Description - High level

The job requires previous work experience in Period End Accounting. The accountant has good knowledge of the functional area and understands the overall nature of the business. The accountant works independently within defined boundaries of the specific area. Knowledge is required for the application of practical methods, techniques, work procedures and processes

Key Accountabilities :

- Performing period end tasks, accruals, and support controlling tasks

- Assisting in the basic analysis and interpretation of financial information for period end closing

- Performing accounting transactions pertaining to costs, revenue, financial items, financial housekeeping, settlements, claims, and recovery. Examples: Cost and Revenue accruals, Mixed Payments, Period Cost allocation, Currency Revaluation

- Informing supervisor/leader about any process issues

- Providing ideas for improvements

- Adhering to controls

Skills required to do the job :

- Finance Graduate

- 1-3 years of experience in Accounting to Reporting

- IFS General Accounting experience in version 8 and above

- Average/Good skills in Microsoft Excel & Power point Presentations

- Ability to work under pressure during month end days

- Excellent verbal and written English skills

- Comfortable working with multiple projects at the same time

- Thrives in an environment characterized by challenges and change.

- Enjoys working with others but also comfortable working independently when required

- Owners mentality and ability to challenge
