MadHawks - Chief Technology Officer

An idea stage edtech startup launched by the team who come from a similar industry and are experienced entrepreneurs. We are building a category to transform it into an organized market through an aggregator platform. We are looking for someone who can shape up this exciting new game in the skilling and the career building arena. Hence looking for a dynamic Co-owner and a CTO, who can help us build and lead the platform development, technology, ecommerce platform aligned with the vision of other co-founders.

As CTO, you will be our first technology go-to expert and play an integral role in setting the company's strategic direction, development and future growth. In this position, you will oversee our overall technology development and technology utilization plan and manage all information technology resources of our company. Champion the full spectrum of platform development strategy and operations, supported by the Directors of Product and Marketing, in building upon the MVP and launching a new ed tech platform and its allied content and commercial products.

What you will get?

Since we are at an early concept stage, this person would be joining as one of the co-founders and would be eligible for equity ownership and a possible board seat. Also, since all resources in the initial says need to go into building a product out, getting experts on board and setting up the base to start, there wouldn- t be any salary component however as soon we launch and start generating revenue and go for a round of funding a salary would kick in for co-founders

- Build the team, partnerships and systems required for testing, trials, commercial launch, and beyond.

- As a Co-owner be a strategic thought partner to the CEO and help build a rockstar organization.

- Develop and deliver a compelling technology vision to build and sustain an exceptional learning platform.

- Propose, secure, and effectively manage budgets to support platform development.

- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.

- Build quality assurance and data protection processes.

- Building user flows and wireframes

- Demonstrated history in building or managing B2C or B2B products/ apps

Requirements:

- Bachelors/Masters in IT/Engineering from a Prestige College or equivalent with a strong technical grounding.

- Exceptional ability to start-up, lead, manage, develop and facilitate product, technology and engineering teams.

- Excellent understanding of software engineering, data architecture, data security and data science.

- Frugal mindset in terms of extracting the highest value from every investment.

- Master in strategic planning orientation - align technology and research with long-term business financial goals.

- Preferred exposure to Artificial intelligence/ Machine learning.

- Prior product building experience in a startup is preferred

- Should have experience of building end-to-end product in any of the modern days tech stack like Java, .NET, PHP, Python or node

- Should have worked in one of the cloud like AWS, AZURE or GCP

- Knowledge of GIT, SVN versioning systems

- Excellent communication and superman-like execution skills.
