Job Title : TEAM MEMBER - FUND ACCOUNTING Grade : FL I Platform : INVESTMENT MGT Reporting To : Team Leader - Fund Accounting Business Unit : Business Operations Job code: No Department : FUND ACCOUNTING Location : Navi Mumbai - Mahape Team Management (Y/N) : N JOB DESCRIPTION JOB PURPOSE The operations function is a critical support activity for independent calculation &amp; timely verification of daily NAVs of all the mutual fund schemes, and managing all statutory payments, filing of returns, preparing and reporting of financials, GST compliances and reconciliation. This is a specialized function which needs understanding of fund accounting domain, accounting standards &amp; regulations relating to mutual funds. Ensuring that appropriate regulations and controls are adhered to and best practice standards are maintained across all activities within the sphere of control particularly in the NAV calculation &amp; statutory obligations. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES The employee will carry out the following key activities - - Independent calculation and verification of all schemes NAV and release of NAV within the regulatory timelines. - Processing of all statutory payments before the regulatory timeline. - Verifying and filing of TDS returns, STT returns &amp; income tax returns. - GST compliances - payments and filing of returns within the regulatory timelines - Co-ordination with service providers, CAMS, custodians and Auditors to ensure smooth flow of deliverables. - Ensuring adherence to regulation for all vendor payments processing - Preparing and reviewing of half year and annual financials, ensuring regulatory compliances - Understand changes/new circulars from SEBI and AMFI and accordingly upgrade process/systems - Ability to lead process improvements - Ability to Design and Produce MIS for Decision Support, Business Intelligence - High level of process orientation - Strong numerical &amp; MS excel skills - Strong Verbal &amp; Written Communication Skills - Liaising with various internal departments, external agencies, service providers, custodians, registrar &amp; Internal &amp; Statutory auditors for smooth conduct and closure of audits - Reviewing various reconciliations - Reviewing the balances/ positions of all book &amp; bank accounts of the fund - Assisting in New initiatives / project management. - Identifying Risk and mitigating the same, setting processes and controls. - Handling new scheme launch and closure related activities - Ensuring all compliance and regulatory reporting is done within the timelines DIMENSIONS - Financial Dimensions (if applicable) - Knowledge on mutual fund regulation, accounting standards Other Dimensions - Good communication skills and interpersonal skills SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE : Educational Qualifications : Post Graduate in Commerce / Management Studies / CA / ICWA Functional Skills : - Good Analytical skill and expert knowledge in Excel Relevant and total years of Experience : - 4+ years experience in Fund Accounting
