L&T Financial Services - Manager - Debt Syndication (2-5 yrs)
Job Purpose :
- To syndicate/ downsell debt to banks/ FIs/ NBFCs to meet the downselling targets of the company
- To maintain relationships with Banks/ FIs / NBFCs and other investors with support from Transaction Managers
Principal Accountabilities :
Accountability Clusters :
- Deal/ opportunity evaluation
- Collation of market information on potential opportunities with assisted clients
- Preparation of the business pitches
- Review and provide comments on various project related commercial documents from time to time
- Track and stay updated in key business/ infrastructure sectors and develop a understanding of policy issues
- Provide all associated analytics support to enable conversion of opportunities into firm mandates
Deal execution/ Syndication/ Downselling :
- Track market developments regarding sectors, pricing, structures being syndicated in the market
- Business Plan/ financial projection validation to enable sophisticated structuring of financial solutions
- Provide inputs on loan structuring and drafting term and conditions
- Supervise the preparation of comprehensive Information Memorandum highlighting the salient project features, risks, opportunities, etc. and term sheet for distribution to banks/ FIs
- Ensure timely submission of information and clarify queries from Banks, FIs and NBFCs - for their independent appraisal at Branch/ Zonal Office/ Head Office levels
- Facilitate interactions and consensus amongst all stakeholders of the deal
- Oversee the documentation process and ensure expeditious financial closure of transactions amongst banks/ FIs, etc. through effective co-ordination between the Client, Banks/ FIs, Legal teams and synchronization of terms sheets
Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain mid level relationships with Banks/ FIs/ NBFCs and other prospective lenders
Miscellaneous :
- Implement and maintain MIS of the group business on regular basis to enable effective tracking of deal progress round the year
- Mentoring the team members
Educational Qualification :
- MBA /CA/ Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management with special emphasis on finance, accounting and preferably related law aspects
Functional & Behavioral Skills :
- Spreadsheet modeling with applied knowledge of associated analytical tools, proficiency in presentation and word processing software packages
- Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Basic knowledge of core sectors (Energy, Roads, Ports, Telecom, Construction, Urban Infrastructure) and related industry/ policy developments
- Understanding of techno-commercial and legal contracts, banking norms and regulatory systems
Managerial / Soft Skills :
- Good presentation skills and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to work across locations and interact with multiple groups at workplace
- Multi tasking across mandates and various stages of appraisal
- Adherence to timelines and proactive attention to detail
- Ability to work with teams
