Purpose Of Role: The principle purpose of the Manager, Global Enterprise Sourcing for Information Technology is to execute highly complex IT sourcing projects by being and SME to accomplish the goals of both the organization and the global business units they support. The role involves partnering with US and Canada Category Leaders and Managers for IT (Hardware, Software, Consulting)along with managing couple team members in India supporting these global categories and having and SME oversight on their projects is a clear expectation. The resource apart from procurement category knowledge should be good in Transition of work related to this category from US, Canada to India. These projects should be delivered utilizing a variety of global sourcing techniques, include scenario analysis to guide in decision making, and leveraging analytics to help the business identify opportunities with demand and usage for projects. Other key components of the role include leading continuous improvement activitys, MIS, building relationships with the business and support teams, and supporting key initiatives for ESS. Responsibility Statements: The purpose of this position is to support Category Leader and manage the various responsibilities related to procurement of IT (Hardware, Software, Equipment - Telecom, Networks, Printers, etc) products and services from third parties. IT Hardware is having few sub categories End user computing, Servers, Network equipment, Telephony and PBX, VOIP services, Cloud and DC storage. Software includes EUC software, Cloud hosted software bundles, plus Platform Softwares. This category has a multi billion $ spend - Analyzes the supply market to understand industry trends, market competitiveness, goods, services, alternatives, etc. Leads planning and idea sessions and effectively influences customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to bring new and innovative ideas that drive cost savings. Responsible for the creation of materials to drive messages, strategies, and insights. - Development of analytics to develop insights in vendor bids and current demand opportunities should be expected. Expected to lead large cross functional working groups to achieve enterprise goals and objectives. - Has oversight and team management of all global ESS resources in India, acts as an SME to coach them - Manages complex negotiations. Leverages experience across categories and industries to shape the negotiations strategy. Develops creative and innovative strategies that drive significant "next level" results. Presents materials to stakeholders and insures confident decision making in a timely manner. - Supports ESS Director in India to exerts influence internally and externally in negotiations to maximize the value of deals. Supports broader sourcing team in development of negotiation plans for global services - Has a good network of suppliers across all these categories in relationships in US, Canada and India - Responsible for life-cycle contract management for assigned categories while leveraging relevant partners across the organization. - Partners with the global business units for relationship management activities and contributes to business reviews and QBRs for the global category leaders to maximize value from suppliers. - Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure that they are committed to Lowes, ensure contract objectives are achieved effectively. Serves as an escalation for contract and performance issues. - Leads continuous process improvement efforts that make P2P processes including sourcing and contracting more efficient. Works cross-functionally outside ESS to drive process improvements. Supports and manages to policies and procedures to ensure department goals are realized. - Other duties as assigned Required Education/Experience: - Bachelors Degree in Business or related field with an overall experience of &gt;10 years - 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance or similar work with an emphasis on sourcing, direct negotiations, and contracting - Experience in IT Procurement categories for Global procurement is a must - Relationship with key vendors in IT HW and SW category across US and Canada suppliers is required - Global vendor community connects with (Cisco, Nortel, Google, Dell, Apple, Oracle, IBM, etc.) is required - Experience in managing Digital implementation suppliers for Industry 4.0 requirements: Cloud vendors, RPA vendors - Experience in Project management of multi million dollar IT transformation projects. NOTE - This has nothing to do with India projects but global engagements only (network transformation, Telephony, DC, Cloud etc.) - Experience in building RFPs, SOWs and Contracting and running Projects - Experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts - Experience collaborating and communicating at the executive level - Experience managing cross-functional project teams and resources - Proficient with MS Office Suite - Procurement experience for US and Canada markets is required - Very good English communication skills Preferred Education/Experience: - MBA from a premier institute in Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain - Experience in a retail or Business to Consumer environment, IT Sourcing Transformation experience, Partner Alliances exposure
