Relevance of the Role

A Brand Business Manager (BBM) is responsible to develop business for our clients on a particular website/s (Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm Mall, Snapdeal etc.). The BBM is the owner of the P&L of the business being driven on the portal. The involvement is across functions and categories

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Business Planning

- Periodically planning and documenting the business for the clients at category and portal level

- Conducting regular reviews with the team on plan v/s achievement

- Identifying and highlighting relevant hinderances/challenges and working on the solution with the team

- Aggressive Planning business with the portals both for Business as Usual days, Deal Days and Event Days

2. Sales Operations

- Developing in depth expertise and understanding of the merchant panel

- Ensuring Fill Rate is at optimal level (Above 90%) at all times

- Speaking to the clients on regular intervals to discuss updates, challenges and solutions for business development

- Ensuring all the products/catalogue is live with correct content and within the stipulated timeline

- Driving promotions and marketing initiatives (Deals and Ads) on regular basis

3. Stakeholder Management

- Clients: Ensuring that the business is on track and the expectations of the clients are taken care of. Highlighting the challenges and collaboratively implementing the solutions

- Cross-functional Teams: Creative Team, Digital Marketing, Finance, Warehousing, Marketing Support and Logistics namely. To ensure that the cross-functional teams are collaboratively working to support the business

- Web Portals: Ensuring excellent co-working relations with the category team, sales team and marketing team of the web portals with deep level of collaboration for business development

4. Team Building

- Hiring and ensuring the KRAs of the team under the KAM are being met

- Ensuring the best and suitable talent gets on board

- Training the marketing support team to drive the business

The Ideal Candidate

- Must-have experience in e-commerce

- Sound knowledge of Digital Marketing

- Thorough knowledge and experience in sales and business development

- In-depth knowledge of the e-commerce industry

- Post-graduation in MBA or an equivalent degree is a must from a good b-school

- Excellent communication skills: Both verbal and written is a must

- Ability to develop and maintain relations with external stakeholders to drive the business
