Role Summary :

- Undertake bottom up planning by analyzing existing store sales & opportunity lost, new stores sales mix and projecting next year growth
- Build and manage the team to maximize performance
Key Job Responsibilities:
Market Focus and Strategy:
- Understand market dynamics and be informed about market trends
- Be aware of products sold by competition and product categories that are new
- Proactively present ideas for business growth
- Analyze the product mix performance and project the demand for fulfillment
- Undertake bottom up planning by analyzing existing store sales & opportunity lost, new stores sales mix and projecting next year growth
- Undertake competition benchmarking to identify gaps
- Work towards a standardization of the planning processes across the concepts in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders
- Drive automation of planning processes
Pre- Season Alignment:
- Review the sales, OTB and assortment plans and drive adherence to the plans
Space Planning:
- Ensure library of all fixtures on floor and mapping on system for easy movement of fixtures
- Decide on density and type of fixtures in the store. Decide on space allocation in collaboration with Buying and Business Head
- Analyze linkage of options mix to derived space
Merchandising:
- Set up guidelines and framework for merchandise allocation and movement for right distribution and allocation from central to region and region to stores
- Set up the process for floor stock management, warehouse stock management and movement of stock
- Structure communication within the planning and merchandising team for tracking and resolution of issues and movement of stock
Season Launch Allocation:
- Work with the Territory Heads to review and ensure allocation of stock as per the sales plan and display capacity norms
- Review and ensure season launch is done as per the hit dates
Mid-Season Monitoring:
- Review actions taken by the Planning Leads on the stock inward, allocation, OTB planning, promotion planning and performance with reference to mid-season and take required actions
Basic Management:
- Review the creation of the rolling forecast on monthly basis and realignment of the orders as per the rolling forecast
End of Season Consolidation:
- Review the process of reforecasting of the sales plan, recalculation for the OTB, mark down planning and the RTV process and take required actions for liquidation of the stock
MIS and Reporting:
- Define the framework for MIS reporting and analysis
- Review the MIS and drive required actions to address concern areas
People Management:
- Build a high performing team
- Set expectations and give regular feedback to team to maximize performance
- Guide, coach, train and develop the team
